SH1 Passing Lane Projects

Wharehine is proud to have worked with the New Zealand Transport Agency, formerly Transit, on roading projects that make our roads safer. From the late 1990s, Wharehine Construction has worked on numerous passing lane and road reconstruction projects, including road widening projects between Hudson Road and the Dome Valley north of Warkworth. More recently, the team constructed the 1.5 kilometre Hoteo Passing Lane south of Wellsford, which involved removing more than 25,000 cubic metres of earth. The company demonstrated a high degree of traffic and safety management during this highway work, meeting the client’s requirement of minimal traffic disruption.

“The project was completed well to a high standard, I found the staff to be well experienced both from a practical and technical aspect. Wharehine programmed their work and are proactive to create a “no surprises” environment. Wharehine create a team environment to produce a high quality product and in a timely manner.”
